FAQ

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

When do you open for the season?

We typically open late April to early May, depending on weather and plant readiness. Our official opening date will be announced on social media and our website as we get closer.

Do you allow dogs at the garden centre?

Friendly, well-behaved dogs are welcome, but must be kept on a leash.

Do you take pots and trays back?

Yes! We’re happy to take back clean pots and trays that came from our greenhouse so we can reuse them.

Do you sell gift cards?

Yes — we offer paper gift certificates that can be purchased in-store.

If you’re out of town, we can take payment over the phone and have the gift certificate ready for pickup by the recipient.

Do your gift certificates expire?

No — our gift certificates never expire and can be used anytime in-store.

When is it safe to plant outside?

In Sault Ste. Marie, we recommend waiting until late May (around May 24 weekend or after) to safely plant frost-sensitive plants like vegetables and annual flowers.

What should I do if there’s frost after I plant?

If frost is expected, we recommend covering plants with a sheet or bringing containers indoors overnight.

Do you carry vegetables and herbs?

Yes! We carry a wide variety of vegetable and herb plants, especially during the spring season — including tomatoes, peppers, lettuce, herbs, and more.

Are your plants grown locally?

Yes! Our plants are grown right here in our greenhouse from plugs, carefully tended by our family to ensure strong, healthy growth suited to our local climate.
